Clover-like ground cover?

Hello,

i've noticed this everywhere in my garden and I'm curious to know exactly what it is. It has the sort of structure and spread of clover but the leaves have a strange shape to them. I'm guessing it might be a weed?

actually, it looks like ground ivy, I think it is creeping charlie.

Smells like minty cat wee, makes a very good tea for soothing a bad chest.

 

I think I'll give the tea a miss.
