Thanks to all that helped in a previous post, ive been breaking my back today, finally gave up and will carry on tomorrow,

does the mud need any more work? does it need to be broke up any more or is that perfect?

so basically once ive done the other half, i leave it for a week to do whatever it needs, then what should i do,

do i re-rake level, walk over it to make it compacted then spread seed in a cross action, then gentally rake it over to hide the seed?

    any help is much apprechated

Let the soil dry out and then rake it until it's more of a crumbly consistency. Walk over it to firm it down then just rake over the surface gently to loosen it. Sow the seed then rake it in. Water every day when it doesn't rain. :)

Just to add to Sheal's advice, when you walk over it, walk on your heels so you really compact the soil down. You need to walk over every bit. Then you will need to rake it over to fill in any low spots again.

        You've clearly worked hard!

Another tip: a radox bath after a days graft like that will ease your muscles :blue thumb:
