The very best "tip" I can give you is to go to the "Beginners" forum, have a nosey at the treads which interest you and, if your question hasn't been answered, post a new thread. After the Beginners, go to a topic specific forum and peek in there too. Before you know it, you'll be picking up tips left, right and centre

If you have an opportunity, add pix of your garden and any specific queries you would like advice on. Or, post pix of your successes that you are proud of so you get to show off too I find it very inspiring looking at others gardens.

Water anything you plant! Seriously though, welcome. Like me you'll probably spend as much time on here as you do in the garden and as others have said, there's a wealth of info here to help you and you wont always know what you're looking for until you find it.

What do you have in the garden at the moment? Are you looking to do a complete makeover? How big is it? What direction does it face? What soil type do you have? Any shady areas from trees, fences, walls, buildings etc? And probably one of the most important factors - how much do you want to spend?

These are just some of the questions you may consider before you start.
