Got my work cut out tomorrow

You know you're from Zummerset when....

 

See, I KNOW when I'm in 'zummerzet' when I see that sign 'Welcome to Somerset' and I sing..."zummerzet...lah lah lah...zummerzet...lah lah lah"

 

Thank goodness i'm in Sussex at the moment then

 

I think you know you're in zummerzet when as you drive down a main road, both wing mirrors are getting battered by hedgerows at the same time.

Or, the first time I ever stopped at Glastonbury, I found a car park to park up in. In this car park was a bus marked 'Tor', the driver of which was sat on the door step of his bus enjoying a cup of tea and smoke. It was about 8AM. Nobody was to be seen except me, the wife and this bus driver. I thought it would be nice to have a run up to the Tor on the bus as a break from driving so I asked the driver when it starts. His answer was something like 'Oooh, arrghhh, nort while nine o clorck'. 9 AM is late in my book

Many of our main roads have Sweet Corn growing in the middle during Grockle season.

cor i havent heard that since i was knee high to a grasshopper when we used to slate the holiday makers off to their faces

 

I used to do that sort of thing but now I'm a grockle myself.

I never cook any nasturtiums...make salad with the leaves and flowers!! Had a wonderful crop this year...

 

Grockle lost in deepest Somerset sees an old chap leaning on a field gate so stops and asks 'How far is it to Yeovil?'.
Old chap takes off his cap, scratches his head, thinks for a minute and replies 'Oh arr I don't rightly can tell you that, I bain't ever been there.'

Grockle thanks him and drives off down the hill and has just crested the next one when he sees in his mirror the old boy standing in the middle of the road waving his arms in the air with someone else beside him.
Grockle can't get turned in the narrow lane so reverses back the half mile and stops beside the old chap and winds down the window.

Old chap sticks his head through the window and says -
'This be my friend Garge and he don't know either'
