Hi, been a while since I came on here, still on with tackling the garden! Recently had some new fencing put in and had to cut back the plant from the photo. It was cut back absolutely loads and in no time its already climbed up the new fence.

    Can anyone identify it please?

I agree with catztail. We had one in the Garrison Library Garden in Gibraltar, it was huge. If anyone is going out that way, pop in and see how it is getting on.

      Cheers, Tony.

I did wonder if it was wisteria but in the 2 years that we've lived here its never flowered, any idea why? Can I 'help' it to do so?

You have given the answer here..

"It was cut back absolutely loads and in no time its already climbed up the new fence."

You are cutting off all the shoots that would give you flowers!

Follow RHS advice here on when/how to prune.
