            this is the spring of that river which flows in front of my parents place, pic taken a few hours away towards the mountain. Stunning clear water as you can see!
            (I don't know about the type of stones)
            Since you mention the Dolomites, they are famous for the different colours of their picks towards the sunset due to the composition of the stones.

                      Went out for a nice lunch in a country pub. Willow rescued a vole from a very insistent cat, she brought it home in a wellington to let it recover, just went to let it go, no sign of it, so now have a loose vole in the house somewhere.

                      Day slightly marred by the toilet deciding to not switch off after flushing, charging to 2 different plumbers merchants to buy 2 wrong fittings & then finding the flush has broken as well. Might as well just buy a new loo:doh:
