Gas flame gun

    Are these canister gas guns any good to kill weeds and keep them under control

    They don't kill the roots of persistent weeds but they're good for a quick tidy-up.

    I bought one thinking it would be a lazy way to tackle weeds. It isn't. For the length of time you have to stand there burning a single weed, you could just as quickly dig it out with the trowel.

    They are useful for starting the barbie though.

        Good fun , but useless for weeds ! Good at setting fire to a tinder dry bush - 2 fire engines arrived for that little fiasco of mine :chicken:

          Just buy a kitchen blow torch. Ultra portable and pretty fierce flame

          Found them good for killing weeds on the patio and drive where its hard to get them out with tools especially if you dont want to use chemicals. Young dandelions usually take 2 to 3 attempts before the tap root runs out of steam. They can also be used over vegetable beds before planting seeds to kill any germinating weeds.
