first the taxi doesnt come for my daughter so I have to phone them and get another sent out. Then I accidentally lock myself out of the house without even my mobile phone! Lucky the In laws live 2 doors away so I phoned hubby from there and he brought the keys home.

now the posty has brought me back a pair of trousers that I sold on ebay at least 6 months ago! I always use return addy labels. The "to" addy on the front has been ripped off and the date on the post stamp thingy is 21/08/12. Then someone (presumably Royal Mail) have stuck postage on the back, next to my return addy label & that is dated the 15/09/12. Thing is, my ebay goes back to July and it doesnt list any trousers! I vaguely remember them (I think) but I'm sure it was early 2012 or even longer ago that I sold them. So if ebay says I didnt sell them in the last month, WHY is the date stamp to the recipient 21 august 2012??

Perhaps the Royal Mail within the UK is pulling the 'stunts' it is pulling in Europe. Portugal is particularly bad. If something is coming via Royal Mail, in their great wisdom RM contracts it out to a company called GLS (an independent like UPS) who 1) refuses to deliver to Apartado addresses (ie Post Office boxes) and the majority of people in the country here have them as we/they live in remote locations, and 2) they also can't seem to locate 'street addresses' and return the parcels to sender.

We only have a PO box address but fortunately we have received all of our post ... well, one has not arrived from a forum member who sent me something weeks ago!!!! All of our purchases from Amazon sent RM have arrived as has a large clothes order I made from M&Co. Only today we picked up an order t'other half ordered and it came RM delivered to our PO box.

Apparently, what was a 3-5 day service through CTT is now 17-20 through GLS ... if you get it at all! The items are returned to the Sender saying 'address or addressee unknown' even for those with a street address. CTT (the Portuguese postal service) cannot do anything about it because of the fact RM has contracted out to this GLS bunch of idiots ... what a joke, beware of them (they are Dutch) ...

My main 2 questions are; WHY was the addy label ripped off? and WHY does the franking by the ripped off addy label say 21/08/12 when my ebay records show these trousers werent sold in sept, aug or july 2012!?
