do you prefer to be lead to the post by an enticing title (because it is funny, or catching for other reasons) even if the post is ultimately about something quite plain and simple like for example: growing potatoes

or do you prefer the title to be an accurate reflections of the content...? For example "about growing potatoes"

or do you just falls for those titles that are there to prove a point and who cares about the content...

I am not answering this one, just to give you some food for thoughs...

I don't care really. I always hover the mouse over the title to bring up the preview box, then decide to open it or not.

I don't get much time to look on the forum these days, so any cryptic thread titles get ignored - sorry!

I prefer the title to be a "resume" of the content

I do the same but can, sometimes, be attracted or put off by the titles.

I like the title to reflect what's in the thread.

I try to make it both interesting & descriptive. For example, if posting about propagating leaf beet by dividing the roots for re-planting (these pieces of root are known as 'thongs'), what would attract your attention the most?

            A) Leaf Beet Question

            B) Vegetative Propagation of Swiss Chard

            C) Swiss Charred Thongs

              C!!
For me GC is as much about the entertainment value as it is help and information. I wouldn't spend very much time on here if it was all serious. Having a good laff is just as important for me as learning something new.

Seen plenty of Thongs there though. Some I wish I hadn't.
