Ikea bags as vegetable planters?

    There is one in Broadmarsh shopping centre in Nottingham.I will pick one up on sunday when i go to work.

    In the past I've used empty compost bags to grow spuds in. Did very well too. Just stabbed the bottom with a fork a few times for drainage. This year I've taken an offer in a newspapers for 3 bags much like the Ikea ones and 5 of each of 3 types of spuds, plus packets of seeds and some special gloves you can rub the spuds clean with. (Why?)

    I got the last one of the bags from my local store. They are very big and look like they would hold up well to growing spuds in them.
