Extremely large catapillar

    No........ when I find slugs and snails I practice tap dancing on them.

      hahaha its an active passtime mira and shiney, its strangely relaxing better than some illegal drugs so i hear...

      There are many Hawk moths, but you need to know which one if you are going to keep it, they are quite specific in what they eat.

      Without looking it up, i'm tending towards Lime Hawk moth, are there any lime trees nearby?

      Looks like a sea slug....Still if we were in China or Japan, we might eat it deep fried..yum:stirpot:

      I lost it ziggy, left it on my mint box for 5 minutes whilst i found an appropriate container and it was gone! sneaky catapillar! I think it may have looked like the one you posted but the bumps werent quite so pronounced on its skin. as far as i know, there aren't but judging from the african green shield bug i found wouldn't be surprised if it came in on a shipment of something to one of the local wholesalers etc
      Although my limonella plant could be the culprit but wouldn't figure so as the plants probly only twice as big as the catapillar lol :D

      I am sorry i did not get it, are you guys saying that those huge worm turn into a moth or the moth and worm are totally separate entity. bear with me guys, newbie here and i haven't come across with those stuff. Hopefully soon if i am a master green thumb already. :)

      Heres the type we get in our backgarden,this pics from 2010(which i got I.D on here) but i seen them again last month :)
