    Hi Yvonne, In my garden some types of hostas fare better than some others, maybe they taste different to the slugs? The best were the yellow-greenish tinted ones, I didn't apply any slug grains. of some the others have been finished off almost completely, here is a pic, so you can see which yellow-green ones I mean (Pic from july) hosta yellowish.JPG

    Do you grow them in pots? That works for me (and keeping them on the shady area of the patio).

    Add a few drops of olive oil and it's fairly effective on light RSM infestations.

    Meant to be very large rounded seersucker leaves, nice white flowers Jul-Aug, 75cm. However, mine is relatively small-leaved and 25cm on well-nourished dryish clay in sun in Central England. What a waste of space! . Bob's score = 2.5"
