We have bought a bin truck for my son for Christmas and it is hidden in the divan bed. Last week whist on night in the middle of the day when I was flat out asleep it went of and scared the bejesus out of me. It then continued to go off every day, it took me 3 days to realise we don't have our bins collected every day and turned it off.

It isn't just toys that come alive at night time.:)
I started a little halloween project this afternoon, but sadly got rained off.

You see thats what children want you to think, theyre asleep! I remember quietly getting up in the middle of the night, playing with my toys.. as soon as I made a noise though I was straight back in bed!.. the parents came in, and for all they knew I was asleep the whole time! (though I think they knew I'd been fooling around with toys instead of sleeping)

Perfectly sound theory, and indeed I remember myself pretending to be asleep so that I could catch my dad red-handed being Santa, an operation that was a great success, as I got a clear view of my dad putting small toys into the old sock at the end of my bed.

Trouble is in this case, the lad is asleep upstairs at the back of the house, and the toy box is downstairs at the front of the house.

                    Ahh I cant explain that!!

But i can join you in the Santa thing.. I did exactly the same thing as you.. I opened my door because I knew my parents delivered by 'door presents', but my parents thought I thought it was Santa.. when they realised I had caught them, their response was.. "Go back to bed Santa hasn't been yet".

Even at 6-7 years old.. I must have thought.. "DUH"

Ghost hunts is a stupid term, isnt it? I think often the spirits must get fed up with people "hunting" them. I know I would! "throw this pebble for us" etc, expecting them to perform like circus animals.

this is the video I meant earlier....

If ghosts exist they'd probably know the meaning of life, and find our musings about such things quite amusing. They would probably go out of their way to mess with us.
