Hi all I have started to attend a computer class ,so I can learn properly, everything I do has been learnt by trial and error.:pcthwack:

So I need to be able to transfer what I have done in class to my laptop when I get home, so they use sticks /drives I do not know and unwilling to show my ignorance to strangers ,(you are all my friends) :grphg: would like to know what i need to buy, "Amazon " link would be handy :heehee: .
    Is this any good

yup, thats perfect. you just have to decide how much data you want to be able to store on it.
I should think, if you're transferring your work over after every lesson, a 4GB drive would be plenty. Depends what you're working on. The more GB the flash drives hold, the more expensive they are.

So does it just keep adding until full, separate sessions say, or do you have to empty it.

keep adding until it's full they do store lots of info, then you can buy another,or if you don't want the info on the flash/usb stick you can delete all or some of the info and use again

16GB is MASSIVE! If you are storing mainly text files and a few images, one would probably store all your work and the rest of your class too.
The whole King James Bible would fit in about 14MB.

A professional photographer will need a lot more storage then someone putting mostly written course work on it, just because pictures take up more space. 16GB will be enough for a few thousand high res pictures though.

Also, considering the price of memory these days, its better to buy too much than not enough, because you find a way to use it all up.

I presume you have handed over folding stuff for this course? If so ask away, give the tutor a hard time!

Whenever I attended a 'training course' at work I found everyone else was waiting for me to ask the questions they wanted to but. . . .! It never bothered me!

    Cheers, Tony.
