I planted our various bulbs 2-3 weeks ago, dotted around the garden, some in pots, some in the ground.

On Sunday, I noticed that a couple of the crocus had grown and flowered already. I thought this was really bizarre. I guess because of the mild weather still?

Do you think they will die back and come again in spring?

There's much bizarreness going on at the moment. The end of the world is nigh.

My gaffer said the other day he saw a perfectly healthy caterpillar, at the back end of last month one of my apple trees burst into bloom, and someone on here (can't remember who) said some of the biennals had flowered despite only having been planted this year.

Heh. Well I'm glad I'm not the only one! We'll have outdoor orchids in January next!
