Another new gardener

Hi Everyone
I moved to a tiny house with an even tinier garden last August. However, I have managed to make two flower borders, a gravelled area and a little veg plot.
I have lots of questions - will try to confine these to the appropriate section.
I did try to post some photos but not sure if they 'saved'. Sorry - I'm not a computer expert so they may be lost in the ether. I don't want to duplicate them so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Lyn

We changed forum software a few months back and to be honest I found it hard to find my way to the the photos in the new software, but its fairly easy once you know.

See at the top of this page, where it says 'User Albums'.

1. Click 'User Albums'
2. Click 'Create own album'
3. Give it a title and optional description. Then click 'Create Album'
4. Click 'Manage images'
5. Click 'Upload a file'
6. A file dialog will appear where you can choose your photo.
7. Click 'Save'

That's your pic in the album. You can add as many pics as you like to your album.

When you want to include a pic in a post...

1. Click on the picture to make it open larger.
2. Right click on the picture, and choose 'copy image url' (or similar, depending on your browser).
3. In a post, click the 'insert image' icon, and press CTRL+V to paste the image address in, click OK, and that's it.

Sorry, I know that sounds like a lot, and to be honest, its not as simple as it could be, but once you get the hang of it its ok.

And thanks Clueless for the detailed account - I have thought about starting an album but not known how to go about it - I'll give it a go.

 

If there a benefit to having it in an Album, rather than just uploading it direct to the Post ?

(This aint a loaded question - in case it reads like that!!)

 

Last time I tried uploading directly, it somehow didn't make it. No errors, just no pic in the post. Probably a bug that may have been fixed by now, but I haven't tried it that way since. Might have a go later.
