My Rhodochiton Atrosanguineum has been a weedy fellow all year, still only a foot tall and still only in a 1L pot, but now flowering prolifically. Hopefully I can keep it alive over winter so that I can get a better showing next year.

Once they get going they're really good bloomers. Well worth the effort in my book.

Rhodichiton was a first for me this year and I was exceptionally pleased with it. It went above the top of the cane wigwam at 5 feet and flowered for ages.

The only small complaint is that, although the seed pods are a large size, I fear its too late for them to ripen. But I gather they should produce seed in a normal year.

This represents my entire crop of seeds for this year.................

Very poor return indeed - not a good year for seed, although the plant bloomed profusely.

Shiney, my chances of collecting any seeds are nill. I received them from a friend and started the mina lobata in March, which was (obviously) too late. I've never grown it so far, but it looked gorgeous in flower!

I think I can rely on some more seeds from froum-mates here, so I'll start it earleir next season. :dbgrtmb:
