    Hi everyone.
Ive been looking at these weed things for months and decided to now ask how to get rid of them. Can anyone identify them and how easiest to get rid?
I would much appreciate any help? I think there are some images attached here! They have completely taken over my lawn. There isnt much grass left!
I hope the pics are clear enough.

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner:sign0016:

Not too clear, look like they could be Daisees. Digging out would be best, or wait till they are actively growing again and spot them with a systemic weedkiller.

Yes, I would agree ... they do look a bit like Daisies, but I can't really tell for sure with such blurry pics. Could you take any better ones?

Might be easiest to spray whole area in the spring with Roundup and start from scratch.

Could be daisy but pics not sharp enough to tell....cannot see any sign of any grass.

Is it a very wet area.?

        Good evening Dan
welcome to Gardeners Corner. It looks as though your lawn, like everyone elses, has just got fed up with trying to become a water feature this year. Try not to trample on it until Spring and then treat it to some Weed and Feed mix.
Meanwhile, just settle down with the rest of the gang and have a look round. Plenty here to learn from and have a laugh about. All mad as Hatters after dark,

Welcome to GC Portishead100. :) I'd just like to add systemic weedkillers like Roundup will kill just about everything they touch, lawn, plants etc. If they are daisies a normal lawn weedkiller should do the trick.

I wrote a blog page about daisies just two days ago! (won't put a link up in case I get spam-killed!)

Daisies aren't very difficult to get rid of. They'll react to any decent lawn weedkiller.

Might not be very effective at the moment though as they won't be growing much (so won't take in the chemical effectively), so might be best to wait until spring. It's too late to re-seed grass now anyway.

Your tastiest option might be to pick them all and put them in a salad, as you can eat them!

Well you can try ... but the chances are it won't do a lot so might be a waste of money.

You haven't got much grass there either, so my guess is that it's pretty old and compacted.

I would try a lawn weedkiller asap, as you may be lucky. It's not that cold yet. You can then see what you've got left in the spring.

You can then tackle the compaction, and sort out getting some new grass in.

          Good luck!
