Same as pouring boiling water on them. That's what I used to do with the brick patio at my last house. It also doesn't smell as bad, and its much more convenient that going out and buying vinegar. Possibly a lot cheaper too, and probably more eco friendly too.

Round-Up's manufacturer might be 'evil', but I'll still keep Round Up handy because its the best thing for stubborn weeds like the dreaded Bindweed.

They used Vinegar during the Bubonic Plague in 1665 in the Village of Eyam when some residents got infected. The whole village was isolated and they could only buy supplies by leaving money in a jar of Vinegar at the place of exchange. The Vinegar was used as a disinfectant to kill the phathogen.:coffee:

Another good use for vinegar is to mix it about 1 part vinegar to 5-10 parts water in the screen wash tank in your car.

Its a bit smelly, but it doesn't have cut through the oil and grease that tends to end up on your windscreen, leaving a much clearer view than commercial screenwash does.

Don't worry, I will. She'll go mad if she finds out though, I just hope she hasn't started another fight in the Pub and we have to bail her out like last time.:heehee:

You should stop off there, Joolz, as it's an interesting place. One of my ancestors came from there which is probably why I don't catch a cold or flu since she survived the Plague:heehee:

I mix vinegar with a strong salt water solution and either spray it on or use a sponge or paintbrush. It works really well.

I've always use salt for my weeds, I'll have a go with vinegar on the drive to see if it works and if it's easyer than digging up the drive (gravel drive) just to get rid of the weeds

I was musing, Joolz, that maybe one of my ancestors surviving the Black Death might have passed something on in the Genes!!!:heehee:
