Updated photos to help. During the summer it was a ball shape. Any suggestions welcomed.

    Thank you

      Hello and welcome Mark.

The thing in the picture is a plant, in a pot:)

Not sure what kind, could you post a bigger pic?

Hi Mark and welcome to GC.

I too cannot see your picture clearly ... could you put a closeup on?

Also, it would be helpful to know when you took this picture and your location.

a bit more light on your plant will help us to ID it. Anyway, wait til the day dawns and try again meanwhile, feel free to have a wander round,

Looks like a knackered-out lobelia to me, but it's hard to see properly. At least, I've got one that looks just like that.

Having seen the new photos, it's definitely not a lobelia.

Is it an Osteospernum or a cosmos?

It's not an Osteo but could well be a very straggly Cosmos as Jenny says. It's the leaves that are the answer ...

The leaves are wrong for marguerites. Also I'm fairly sure marguerites flowers have a lot more petals.

            99% sure its Coreopsis:)
