What's looking good in November

There are some late flowers in the garden still, but most of them are quite tattered..


This Callicarpa has never done well, I will have to put it into another spot

Gaillardia needs to go inside soon...

Schizostylis still making the best show, no surprise here:-)

late clary sage flowers, the dead plants will look nice in the winter, I guess

thanks Jenny, here's some more, the 3rd try now because our router at home is mad atm and every time when I have almost finished this post it dies on me
spirea goldflame living up its name (if it was its name indeed:-)

willow leaves, not quite as glorious because the sun does not reach in this corner any more, this time of the year

lampions, fallen off the plant
crab apple red sentinel, promising to look even better in the years to come when it will have grown (its a very young tree still)

 

I love that intricate structure of the physalis/lampion seed capsule. Has always fascinated me - ever since I was a child,

My rather lovely 'Christmas' cactus is now looking even better as the individual flowers have opened even more...........don't remember it looking this good last year

Mahonia,

Here is the Mahonia at Ness Botanical Gardens.. I'm sure it's a different variety to M. aquifolium, but it certainly looks like it is on steroids.



Last year Mahonias had a beautiful lemony scent, but this year, they haven't had it, to my knowledge?

Rusty that's a huge Mahonia, looks wonderful!

 

Looks like Mahonia x media 'Charity' or 'Winter Sun'
