    Hi All

I planted out Anemone Bulbs De Caen mix about 4/5 weeks ago , leaves have started to sprout , is this a bit early , only grown these a few times over the years , these are planted in pots as I had mice/vole problems last year with the ones I planted in the open ground in the borders.

So I could move into greenhouse if needed ? or are they doing what they should for this time of year and should I leave outside.

My Anenomes are up, as are my Freesias ... but this is even early for me here as they normally bloom February-April.

Hi spruce, don't despair when you first plant out anenomes de Caen they will flower usually between 2-3 months after planting the bulbs, what ever time you put them in. They then flower again in spring the following year.

      Hope this helps

Never planted any at this time of year, Spruce, sorry.

I did plant some in Spring last year and got absolutely nothing from them. Wasn't too disappointed, they were £Land stock.

Lo and behold, not only did they grow and flower this Spring, they came back for a second showing

That was my experience too, although it was a mild winter.
