No chance! He nicked it; he gobbled it ... if it's had any adverse affect ... he's brought it on himself :nonofinger:

Had his feet done the walking to his brains talking? I may have found some compassion; or not? :heehee:

Anything that says "best before" is fine to eat after that date, within reason, it may just not taste as good. Anything with a "use by" date should be thrown out as it could cause food poisoning.

I'm not a huge chocolate eater either, but the other day I spotted Old Jamaican Rum and Raisin chocolate by Bournville in a local paper shop, haven't seen that for years, different wrapper now though, remember it used to be my mums favourite and sometimes she'd share it with us, OMG it tastes exactly the same didn't take me long to eat the whole bar, right just off for a 10 mile jog :heehee:

By rights i should have been poisoned many times, then!

If it passes the sniff'n'scrutiny test it's OK to eat - if it fails, then don't eat it, no matter what the date says. If it's chicken/fish take no risks, if it's veg/fruit, just cut off any mouldy bits and throw it in a stew. I saw someone chuck out a pack of spanking fresh chilis once because they were one day past their sell-by date. Glossy, scarlet & succulent they still were and remained so for several weeks. I know, because I, er, reclaimed them.

I think I have had food-poisoning by eating within date stuff - a pack of mashed potato from Asda.

Cadbury chocolate never was the best to be honest, but it tastes awful since Kraft got their hands on it.
