How fast can a fat ball disappear?

    I Have got Hold of a Lockabull Fat Ball Feeder :dbgrtmb: Does the Squrills Head in

    I Normall Shoot Them and Serv them with Sweet Chilly :stirpot: Lovely with Black Pepper

      Yes, the same here, about 8 starlings on a fat ball feeder containing 5 fat balls, give them 20 minutes if they're not distrurbed and there won't be a lot left :hate-shocked::biggrin:

      We have a resident squirrel too, we just put a few monkey nuts on the floor amongst the bird seed; keeps him busy and he does leave the feeders alone. The only problem we have with him is he buries them (and walnuts from a tree down the road) all over the garden..:doh:

        A couple of years ago an adult fox came into the garden carrying a fat-ball he had purloined - our neighbour's cat Holly, who was only the size of a large rat just went for the fox and took the prize herself !
