Celia (105 years)

    Evening all
    Been rather a few busy days lately.
    Im sure some of you will remember me mentioning Celia next door at 105 years old.
    Saddens me to say she passed away the other day just a few short days after her 105th. An amazing lady that it has been a pleasure to know and I hope in some ways has enhanced my life.
    Funeral on the 24th December. Not the best of days but the crem has been undegoing some work and there a backlog.

    I hope to get busy on the forum again very soon. Got so much going on at the moment.
    It may be early but to all my friends on GC. I wish you a safe a happy christmas and the best of new years.

      Awww, Robert, so sorry to hear about Celia (God bless her; good innings though!) How wonderful that you feel she enhanced your life - that certainly made hers worth living!

      Be gentle with yourself on the 24th; certainly not the best days, but definately a wonderful day to be laid to rest.

            She sounds an amazing lady Capney. I imagine there will be many like you at her funeral who have been inspired by her, in one way or another. Go and celebrate her life - so richly deserved,

              Sorry to hear about the passing of Ceila, capney. Living through two World Wars and all the things that life had to throw at her she must have had some real memories.

                    What an amazing age to reach - The Eve of Christmas is a sad day for a funeral but on the other hand I agree with Mum a lovely day to mark the end of 105 years of life.
