greenhouse safety glass

    hi there i'm new to the forum but can anyone help me find safety glass to replace a broken pane i can't find any suppliers that sell replacement panes the size is 24" by 24"by 2mm thanks :gnthb: by the way i live in dumfries and galloway

    Pity you didn't live closer......you could pop over and get one, but think Kent might be a bit far! I have about a whole green house worth of extra panes.
    Have you tried any of the greenhouse manufacturers themselves? I know we had a hard time finding a glazier that had them when we were looking for them.

    hi thanks but think its a bit far ! yes tried all the firms that sell greenhouses with safety glass but no one seems to stock spares :cnfs:

    Look in your Yellow Pages for glaziers and glass suppliers, thats where I have bought some in the past - it was quite expensive but for one or two panes it didn't add up too much.

    Just a suggestion - but if you really want something unbreakable (as opposed to normal greenhouse glass - which you should be able to get from any glass or glazing company), why not buy a piece of clear acrylic from your local DIY store?

    hi thanks eveyone , i found a glazier in dumfries who supplies safety gass at £13 .50 a sheet for 24" by 24" by 2mm so i've ordered a couple of panes there one for spare didn't fancy polycarbonate as i had a greenhouse yrs ago with the stuff and it ended up brittle and white rather have the safety glass :thumb:
