      They have bog-standard at £1.79,
French, American or Italian at £1.89
and Java or Colombian at £1.99.

All perfectly drinkable, even for sad people who can quote all Aldi's prices.

Yes indeed as has been said previously, many of the supermarkets wiil be overstocked this year, as supermarkets will often overestimate demand when doing a prior order. Therefore Christmas eve (after 12pm) there will be some seriously amazing bargains to be had.. mostly on Christmas meats, like turkeys, chickens and party food. I know it goes against every instinct that tells you not to do Christmas shopping last minute, but these are when the bargains will really shine through.

(Rubs hands together gleefully) I will be on the look out for interesting cheeses and nibbles to consume on the sofa in front of Strictly and Downton.

I much prefer ground coffee, and even buy Lyons Ground Coffee bags when I can afford them - however, given the amount of coffee we go through in our office ground coffee is a non-starter, besides the process involved in making it.

Thanks Scrungee, but we only really pick up odd things in Farmfoods on a regular basis, rarely enough to use a voucher, unfortunately. Perhaps we should do one big shop every other week in there and then use a voucher and save in the long run...hhmmmm :ideaIPB::heehee:

Tried Sainsbury's Basics Shampoo night before last - most men folk will be perfectly happy with it (it goes on, suds up and rinses out again), however apparently (according to Mrs C) its not quite up to the standard required for a ladies hair.

Normally OK for those who like straight ones, but I like mine 'crinkly'.

Willow confessed recently that she thought I used to cut the crinkles by hand.

I cook fresh every night, anything from risotto and paella to curries to stews. I shop mainly in Morrisons now, their meat and chicken are first class,as is the veg and fruit. Although I bake my own bread, I do buy fresh in Morrisons too. For the toiletries I use home bargains and most weeks for us our shopping bill is around 50 quid. We do Meal planners and we very rarely throw stuff away. When stuff like meat is on offer I buy a load and freeze, so that saves a hell of a lot

Bought another bottle of Aldi's version of Bailey's today for Christmas. Called 'Ballycastle' and is £5.99 a bottle - if you enjoy Bailey's give this a try, I honestly struggle to tell the difference and it's less than half the price! Some of the wine is great as well!
