I've just had a wee mooch around with the telly box (not often I use the thing to be honest), mainly looking at BBC's offerings on BBC1 - 'Animal Antics' with Tim Brooke-Taylor - - - in the name of the wee man, who on earth thought that this would be a good idea?

I used to like Tim back in the day when he was in the Goodies - I cannot believe that he has lowered himself by making such a poor show.

Richard Hammond's Secret Service came on afterwards, and looked equally awful - soon after Mrs C asked if she could watch Hollyoaks, which gave me an excuse to stop torturing my eyes with the tripe that was on; seriously, I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon than watch BBC's offering on what is supposedly the peak viewing night of the week.

ITV are no better either - 'Splash' with Tom Daley; again, why did he lower himself? What's the betting that 75% of those who do tune in will only be doing so to see the half naked people around the pool - - soft porn by any other name.

Thank goodness I've got alcohol and an internet connection.

You're right FC, it's been rubbish for years now and nothing but repeats of repeats either! Our television was cast out two years ago, the best thing we ever did and a big saving on the licence as well! :)

i tend to record programmes/films to watch on nights such as these. Recorded Chris Packhams`3 in the week ,not sure I will be brave enough to watch it though, as I flipped over for a minute and they were taking some sort of larvae from somebodys head :hate-shocked:

I must admit, I did too - most likely because I had a terrible crush on Daryl Hannah when I was a mere chiddler.

And that is the problem really, repeat after repeat with nothing but rubbish being churned out in terms of new stuff.

Exactly what I thought when I saw it on the sky guide. Was most disappointed when it came on
