I have a number of pots of aganpathus grown from seed earlier in the year. They're currently on various window cills in the house, however they've recently started developing yellowing leaf tips. They're well watered, I wonder whether it may be because the house isn't particularly warm. Has anyone else had any experience of similar or instances or any suggestions as to what may be causing this?

Not sure which ones you are growing but not all are evergreen.

The hardier ones tend to die down in winter and regrow next spring outside.
I'd be inclined to dry them off slightly and keep them quite cool but not below freezing.

I would think that are naturally trying to hibernate and won't need copious amounts of water anymore,

Thanks folks. I've noticed that one of the plants that lost all its leaves has now formed a small shoot that is just emerging from the compost - I think this may indicate they are a deciduous variety and that the leave yellowing is part of the natural lifecycle of the plant.

Yours are probably the deciduous variety and therefore dying down naturally, as you say there is new growth, so no worries.

I have one variety in my pond which usually dies back in Winter but started growing last Spring and just kept on going. It's leaves have started going yellow, i assume from the colder weather of late. Another variety i have in a long trough at the side of the pond, 2 blue and one white, didn't flower much last year but leaves are starting to go yellow now too. I'll probably chop the leaves off soon especially if any of the forecast snow causes any damage.
