I agree, but, I do think it is more than that - the proliferation of ready prepared food/meals also distances people from the "reality" of the food they are eating. I've come across people in the past who claim they cannot bear touching raw meat, but have no problems touching a raw burger/sausage/bacon.

I also think affluence also has something to do with it: if you are hungry enough, you will eat *anything*.

Looking back, my father's favourite "treat" was a pigs foot; my mother craved dripping and bread when she was ill. Mr Mum and I enjoy liver and onions, but many youngsters turn their nose up at the thought of it. Mr Mum draws the line at herring roe (milts) but I absolutely love them!

Breaking News - It's just been announced that there's going to be an official enquiry into this scandal - a stewards enquiry.

My mate Dave only ever eats burgers. For the past 30 years he has eaten them for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and nothing else.

We couldn't understand why he hasn't got mad cow disease.

        Now we know why!

I noticed a lot of French people in Tesco’s last night buying value range burgers. I thought to myself this is what happens when you flog a dead horse.

At least Tesco’s are now labeling their food products more accurately, although I can’t see them selling much Horseradish Sauce. And I’m definitely not eating Captain Birds-Eye Fish Fingers from now on.

              Possibly not.....

After a bad sales week Tesco have tried to turn back the clock by recruiting an old celebrity chef. Not sure the Galloping Gourmet was the right choice.

No, not Tescos - it was Dunnes stores in ROI

Ever since my friend ate some fast food from Tesco he's become socially awkward and behaviourally obsessive.
I think it could be ass burgers syndrome.
