Sunday roasts

    Do you still eat sunday roasts each week! I have no friends but from what I here, even on our allotment few do. The pics below are a typical roast in our home.

        hi julie that looks lovely, I eat a roast dinner a few times in a week its me favorite meal

        todays lunch in Turkey breast, boiled, tats, fresh sprouts. fresh carrot and swede, and fresh frozen peas :dbgrtmb: every thing that i have said Fresh is our home grown either pulled picked today or picked and frozen last summer :wub2:

        Oooo yes we do every week, chicken today would take a picture but its all gone :biggrin:, youngest daughter left home last year and eldests leaving next weekend but they'll always come home for a sunday dinner along with their boyfriends :dancy:

        Yes Julie this week we had Beef(Silverside) Roast potatoes,peas,Carrots,homemade Yorkshire pudding and gravy,all 6 prepared and cooked by yours truly,I cannot post a photo as its all been eaten:heehee: Followed by apple crumble and custard:)

          Like yourselve a roast dinner is my favourite followed by Rump Steak and pork loin steaks.

          Interesting results and I am surprised so many have already eaten. In my area very few eat a roast dinner in the day, the few that do seem to have it at night.

            I usually do two roasts on a weekend, one chicken the other beef or pork. Its a matter of saving time for the oncoming week. So when I get home from work I can take either and make something else out of it for dinner, so both lasts a week for meals. But this weekend instead of chicken I made a big pot of chilli and will do a stuffed pork roast later today. Have to find other things out of my freezer for the week.

            actually it is more healthy to eat a larger meal mid-day than late. Would love to eat earlier during the week like no later than 5PM but, work does not get me home to do that. So I am eating at 7pm usually.
