Like Ziggie , love my Crocs for pottering around in . Then I have a pair of Dek shoes for going out in , and a nice leather pair for weddings and funerals. That's all a man needs 3 pairs

I only started this thread as a humorous spin-off from your clutch woes thread turned shoe debate. I expected it to just fade away, but oh no, in less than an hour and a half, its got 19 responses.

 

Its January and there is programme about Bingo on the TV ! That's why so much interest Dave

 

My days of wearing stilettos are long gone. Having an ankle that's being held together by metal I have to wear flat soles. I'm currently wearing very sensible blue ankle boots.

I love flat lace-up boots with a nice grippy comfy sole. I can walk for miles in them and they bounce around and give me loads of energy. Seems I'm at one with most of GC over that!

I have got some pretty shoes a bit like Naylor's Ark,

but I find them painful and exhausting to wear for more than about 2 minutes. Uncomfortable shoes sap my energy.

I couldn't agree with you more, buy quality and you buy once, by rubbish footware and you'll be seen to limp,
My gran who i lived with from the age of 7 always said buy good shoes and a good bed because you spend your life in both of them.

 

I wear crogs instead of slippers, as I find slippers make my feet to hot. My footware ranges from: wellies, trainers, sandles, flip-flops, boots, hiking/boots, flat dressie shoes to high heels..............Call me a woman of all occations

 

I cannot wear flatties, if I do I get pains in the arch of my foot, supposed to be caused by a bunion, but I try not to go over 2" heels, I wear crocs for my garden only, certainly would not go through the front gate in them, just rinse under the tap if muddy.Sad to say all my shoes have to be wide fitting, I bought a pair of Clarkes ballerina a few years ago, I try them every so often as they do have arch supports, wide fitting, but they kill my foot.
I do find the better quality shoe is infinitely more comfortable to wear.
Regarding trainers I love my "Sketchers" if I will be wearing the same shoe all day, travelling etc, they are the ones.
