Not so long ago, I was given an allotment, I cleared it as it was vastly overgrown, I erected a shed and made a start on planting it up..............

    NOT ENOUGH!

I should have planted up the WHOLE allotment, I was deemed as neglecting my plot, booted out and my plot went to the committee member who duped me into doing all the hard work for him, am I bitter? Yes! I took away my shed and made sure the plot wouldn't be productive for a year or two.

When you get an allotment dispute situation, is there an established and fair process for sorting it, or is it down to each individual committee?

If you can demonstrate a liklihood of bias from the committee (for example in Vince's case where the allotment was taken and given to a committee member), its clearly unfair and at the very least unprofessional on the part of the committee, but is there anything within the confines of the law that can be done?

I would of been tempted to soak the plot with a systematic weed killer before I left...

Only just caught this programme and all I can think of is 'Jeez!' Is it worth it?! That bloke in Manchester seemed to be driven insane (although in honesty he did look like he was barely there)
People clearly take this allotment lark VERY seriously. Glad I dug up some of my garden for my veg.
