    Could be debris from the asteroid thats passing by tonight,i think nasa are live streaming it :)

    Its a bit of a coincidence thats for sure Joolz.

    I expect there will be a few Russians that will beat me to it Jenny, but the thought did cross my mind.

        Blimey that was bright, i've seen a couple burn up, but nothing like that. Somebody call Bruce Willis.

          It'll be interesting (although not pleasant) to see if anyone has been actually hit by one.

          As far as I know only one person has been recorded to have been hit by a Meteor, they were sat on the sofa, it went straight thru the roof & floors & grazed them on the arm.

          There is a historical story of a bloke being struck dead by a possible one, and I think a dog got killed by one.

            Busy night tonight then:

            • ISS at 7.07pm W to N/E if those on board look our of their window on the right, they should see this:
            • Asteroid at 7.25pm in the Southern sky ( we will need binoculars to view) going steadily North. Will be in The Plough's (saucepan ) handle around 9.30pm in the Northern sky

                When does that big asteroid pass us ( hopefully ) at less then two Earth diameters away ?
