    Hi,
Mr Morrison sold me an Escallonia Appleblossom, it says on the pack it will flower from October to January. Is this an error, google says Escallonias are summer fowering plants? :cnfs:

    Thanks!

Escallonia 'Appleblossom' is a nice plant but winter flowering......nooooo. Think Mr M blooped there. I have several in my garden; there is a profusion of flowers in late spring followed by intermittent flowers throughout the summer. Butterflies like it and it's evergreen.

Late spring and summer. My parents had a huge hedge when I was growing up and it always bloomed then.

I have to agree with Sussex Gardener. My own escallonia tends to flower in late spring until about September. Another just down the road from me, flowers until about early October. It has never flowered during the winter period at all.

Mr M is definitely wrong although it will carry a little blossom until the first frosts (wellours does anyway)
