I could be wrong, but, I think you have a variety of daylily sprouting there. From the look of it, it is one of the smaller varieties?

If you want to divide it, now it the perfect time (otherwise, you will need to wait until Autumn) although, do bear in mind, the transplants may not flower this year either.

Flowerwise, whether you divide it or not, you could give it a top dressing/mulch of some homegrown compost. Possibly a little blood, fish and bonemeal - but only a sprinkle! The lack of flowers suggests a lack of nutrition because, to my eye, it doesn't look too overcrowded at this point (in other words, it could wait a season or two). However, please bear in mind I am a relative beginner too. I just know how my daylily bed has behaved in the past 2 and half years.

Nows a good time to divide that would make 4 nice clumps when they slow down on producing flower's or none like your's that's the time to spit them , dig it all up and then use two forks back to back to pull apart , are they growing in full sunshine ? as they will flower better, refresh the new planting holes with compost or manure (well rotted only, otherwise you will burn the roots) plant just a bit deeper and give a mulch of compost over the top of them .
