Your daffs are not late, there are late daffs, early daffs, late late daffs, mid late daffs, very late daffs. Its how you read the discription of the daffs. I have some coming up starting in early March to late May, continuous.

Today is the day that I would say mine have come into flower too. I've had one or two "half open" up to now, but today a fair few are fully open. Definitely "late" this year that's for sure

Of course you are correct HOWEVER this Spring here in the UK it's totally different. There are hardly any early Daffodils because it has been so incredibly cold pretty much everywhere. Mine are at least a month behind normal (lived here for 12 years, so know their normal behaviour).I have 100s of Phesant Eye which are late to flower usually around middle of May but at this rate all my Daffodils will flower about the same time. We have rarely gone above about 5 oc daytime temperature since the beginning of February and been below freezing most nights. Much worse is the grass hasn't made any growth what so ever and consequently farmers are running out of hay for their stock. All the fields around where I live are completely grazed to nothing. Unfortunately ewes can't stop their lambs arriving unlike the Daffodils which are delayed. It is very noticeable how inactive the lambs are, spending most of their time huddling up against mum instead of charging about. My neighbouring farmer is already worried that because everything is so late he might not be able to make any hay for next winter. The dire Spring we are experiencing is having far reaching consequences not least my fuel bill for heating the house!:gaah:

Here is a pic of some daffs from this morning. Pic taken from the back valley area. Any white, yellow dots in the distance are daffs. Still need raking. So will try to do a walk around movie this weekend.

Yes you can insert images from desk top Redstar. That's what I'm having to do at the moment because I haven't been able to access my pictures from GC since the site update.

The Tulips seem to be early, or is it because the daffs are late?, as two Tulips are open in opposite borders:dunno::snork:

The remarkable thing here is how long they're lasting! A couple of days of sunshine usually puts paid to them, but this month has been cool and dull so far, and the main compensation is enjoying daffs for two weeks:)
