At GC we have had a rather good winter of whinges . Cold , windy , snow ,frost floods , drought , a very late spring , awful MPC.......etc....etc...etc...
Now the weather seems to have broken , it is warmish with good night time temps . Plants are growing birds are nesting , we are even fairly happy with the MPC suppliers . So what can GC whinge about now ?

Chucking with rain here, and not even warm enough to switch the central heating off yet - that can be my whinge for today.

Due to the cold March, the May flowers have been postponed.
We will now go on into the June water plants, before descending into yet another winter sometime in late August.

Hang on; as the moon affects the tides and gravity, has anybody considered what effect this might have on the planet as a whole, I am of the opinion that this needs worldwide agreement, not just a unilateral AMERICAN decision.

The effect will be negligible, only measurable with the most sensitive instruments, as the asteroid's mass will be insignificant by comparison to that of the moon.

Unless of course it all goes pear shaped and the asteroid is unwittingly dropped on us at ludicrous speed, in which case it will have an effect on the planet as a whole, but the likes of you and I still wont need to care, because we'll slightly dust.

Good point, although I doubt the size of asteroid they could tow would have any more bearing on the planets gravity than the amount of mass we've already launched into space.
