Thanks for all the replies everyone.

    Hi Jenny
Yes I will take some more photos when they are more in bloom. Just hope we get some sun soon:)
The rockery to be has low ground covering perennials planted in it.At the top of the retaining wall there will be 2ft wide bed the length of the wall. We are planting early flowering Feb/March crocuses and mixed Irises. There will also be Narcissi minnow and Narcissi pacific coast. I have got to find room somewhere for some really nice Rembrandt tulips.

The front garden as it is now.It was not as bad as the back but not far off.We have had a new wall built the old one was collapsing. The rockery part should have some nice plants next year. We are trying to reduce the amount of grass to cut because it is very steep.

What a superb effort Dave. I bet your neighbours are chuffed to bits to see that wonderful difference when they look out . How are your hanging baskets coming along now?

          Hi Jenny,
Yes the neighbours are pleased. We have had lots of comments not just from neighbours but also from people just passing by the front garden. They all remember what the garden was like.Apparently it had been overgrown for over twenty years.

The baskets are alright too much rain and not enough sun, they look pretty though.

Isn't it a nice feeling when strangers stop and admire your efforts Dave.
Yep, makes it all worthwhile doesn't it,
