    Hi,
I planted some Freesia bulbs in October (1 per 3" pot) and they have been in my greenhouse over winter. They are now about 4-5" tall and I'm not sure what to do with them now. I planned on putting them in a raised bed in my garden but having read some reviews it seems they should be kept in a greenhouse. I am in the Midlands so not sure whether they survive a frost or not.
Your advice would be appreciated as these flowers were my Mum's favourite and I bought the bulbs to plant in her memory as she passed away last year.

Hi Brian , welcome to the forum , the freesia are bit delicate , best advice is to keep them in the greenhouse up to mid may , as the frost will may kill them .....
overall , they are not frost hardy , so if you leave the bulbs in the soil you got 50/50 chance they will survive frost......they should flower at the end of may /june ....so i would have kept in the pot , enjoy the flower and leave them in untill next year .

      Good morning Brian,
I think there's very little to beat the perfume of Freesias in the Greenhouse and they'll remind you of Mum every time you enter. Keep 'em there and send us a photo of them when they are in their prime please,
      Welcome to Gardneners Corner :sign0016:,
