      A very brave decision - was going to say "hope she's alright" but that sounds trite! All the same, I wish anyone in this position well.

        Given how the odds were stacked against her, I think she made the right choice, albeit a very hard one to make.

        One thing is for sure, the alternative doesn't even bear thinking about; here's hoping she has a long and healthy life

          It's a good thing to raise people's awareness that such an option exists. We have lost some dear friends to this terror, one had been getting annual checks due to family history but it never picked it up in time.

          I was one of the lucky ones - was diagnosed and operated on 30 yeas ago and have had the all clear every year for 15 years now.

            I have also read tonight she is planning having her ovaries removed also as her gene shows she has a 50% chance if she doesnt.
            Must be very frightening
