I can't believe that in two days time it will be June!:dunno::snork: I've also just heard on the TV News that this Spring is on track for being one of the coldest in years........there's a surprise:snork: But at least our gardens are coming alive with growth and colour.

The walk around border is showing really fast growth of the herbaceous perennials

These guys are a real splash of colour at the foot of the Stone Bench.

Everything seems to be shooting upwards
    [IMG]

Lilac "Madame Lemoine" seems to have come through the harsh hard Winter without any damage and is flowering well.

The Alpine Pot seems to like it under the Acer.

The Viburnum is now in full flower.

I just love the colour of this Allium

My Compost Heap is becoming more decorative all the time due to my chucking the the contents of an "empty" pot onto it without checking!!

I've banned myself from the Arbour due to the Tits taking residence in the roof nest box but since Jenny the Cat wouldn't take the hint I placed the pots on the seat to stop her sitting there.:cat-kittyandsmiley::snork:

:wow: That allium nearly had my eye out!!! Gorgeous!
Normally at this time of year there are huge changes from one week to the next in my garden, but this year everything seems to be static. Not surprising, mind, when the weather's so statically dreadful.

I thought you might like to see how the pond is at the moment. Most things are putting on growth and height around the margins and in the Bog Garden.

I just love the Ferns as they add so much colour to the margins and grow so fast that you could imagine that you can see them growing!:snork:

The Skunk Cabbage has got huge leaves and I think I will need to split it later in the year and make some more clumps out of it.

While I was tidying around the back of the pond this young Frog jumped out of the undergrowth and sat on the pot from which the water pours for the waterfall. He was no bigger than a ten pence piece but wasn't afraid of me.:snork:

Part of the Bog Garden with Ferns, Quamash, Snakes Head Fritillaria, Astible [White and Pink] Dicentra Alba, Marsh Marigold, Celandine, and Iris.

I think, [know], that the pond is one of my favourite places to sit and contemplate the World with a glass of wine or mug of tea. It doesn't need much maintenance except for the annual wade to replace the Pond Heater for the Water Pump and skimming bits of debris off the pond surface. I've found that once a pond or garden gets to a certain level of maturity it will run itself and the marginal plants and Bog garden take the nutrients out of the water keeping it clear.
