      Hallo Roeder,
is it a cultivar or is it in the wild? Would love to try one. I never swallow if I'm not sure. But,if my tongue likes it then I take a chance. If it says :runforhills:then I spit it out and swill my mouth out with water. Someone will know, hope you enjoy wandering around in the Gardeners Corner anyway,

My first thoughts were Elderberry, based on the appearance of the fruit and the bark, but the leaves seem not quite right to me.

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention, dont eat the berries until you know. Even if it is elderberry, still dont eat the berries because they are quite toxic raw.

Ahh, there are 2 different sorts of Blueberries, high bush & low bush, and to confuse the matter further, the lowbush is also called Bilberry.

Looks like you've got a cultivated form of the Bilberry. In the wild, they have much less fruit than that, only 3 or 4 per bush.
