I have an olive tree that's now about 7 to 8 feet tall and about 3 feet spread. It's been planted for about 8 years.

But, its now where I want to put a shed....

Question is - will it survive being moved and can I move it now (July)?

Also, I've read somewhere that the root system on an olive tree is not large so assuming the roots won't have spread too far given the size of the tree?

My guess would be it will move, not sure this would be a good time to do it though, I would think maybe April or May.

I've seen very ancient large plants potted up and imported so they must be very amenable to being moved.
Some cutting back of the top growth might help lessen the shock.

But not tried so only guessing.

Yes, you should be fine to move it, but I recommend using a professional so no mistakes are made. Highly research the procedure if you plan to do it yourself.

Hi I have just moved my Olive tree. It is also about 7 ft tall. Was moved about three weeks ago and it seems to have some brown leaves appearing. Not sure if this is because of the move or the change in weather. We have builders clay soil as a new build 7 years ago so was possible going to add to the soil but did not know what to use. Any advice would be great.
