    Evening everyone!

I've got a codiaeum excellent that I bought a while ago in a garden center without knowing what it was. A while ago, all but the bottom two leaves dropped off. The current situation is that I've got two red leaves at the bottom of the stem, then about six inches of bare stem, then a sort of plume of new green leaves right at the top of the stem. It looks very odd...

I've done a google and it seems they're quite temperamental, and tbh I'm sure I don't have the best conditions for it. It's in a bathroom (so a bit steamy, sometimes), near a skylight (so nice and bright) but I can't keep it draught free or temperature-constant. It's in the best place I've got for it.

The google results I found seem to mainly tell you what to do to avoid the leaves dropping off, which is great in retrospect- but does anyone have advice about what I should do with my bizarre bare-middled codiaeum? Will these leaves grow back if it gets happy? Or one they drop are they gone forever?

    Thanks!
    Heather

    Hiya
One of my fave houseplants.... The reason it's lost a few leaves in my opinion is due to temperature changes......it needs a consistent temperature... there is plenty of chance to have a healthy plant still ....... Take out the growing tip...... Using a sharp finger nail or knife. This will encourage the plant to branch out lower down.
Is there any chance you could put the plant outside in a shaded position for a few weeks whilst the weather is good ..... By doing this I think the plant will thrive...."...
Don't forget him whilst he's out there as will still need to be watered and talked to
