Got home from work today to find we had a burst pipe in the bathroom.:dh: Luckily not to much damage.

So..... no water as we have had to turn it off at the mains and the earliest we can get a plummer is in the morning!!

No water, no toilet and no shower!!! But do you know im not fazed.

Unfortunate, yes, hardly the end of the world though.

After all that has gone on in the past 12 months, I can live with it.:p

 

morning everyone, had more snow last night came down quite thick, watched a car this morning driving towards the coop and his back wheels skidded.

Good morning Rosa and everyone,

We have had more snow overnight so will have to have a good scraping session before we can go anywhere today.

Mr Kandy rang his dad last night and he still says the Birthday meal tomorrow is still going ahead despite the weather so we shall see what happens overnight.

We are still having snow flurries here although the sun is trying to shine on us and this morning we had two male Bullfinches feeding in the garden so I managed to get some photos of them plus my Reed Buntings are back again so I am a happy bunny.

I will try and get some of my piccys on here over the next few days:D

the weather is teribble here this morning so windy its like siberia, we had more snow on and off yesterday, went out yesterday morning to take pics at local reserve and it was ok then the weather changed.
woo like your pic looks like you had a good covering of snow also.
peri i wouldnt drive in this weather would be teriffied in case i skidded all over as theres lots of thick ice under the snow quite frightening.
my daughter was going to come down yesterday and changed her mind because of the weather dont blame her.

this was the quarry reserve yesterday most of the pond was all iced over small area of water for the swans, geese, ducks and others.

 

Good morning Woo Rosa and eveyone,

Rosa love your snow pics.You have definetley had more than us this time.Are you taking bread to feed the ducks and swans as they will still need to keep their energy up in this cold snap.It will be interesting to see if the RSPB give out any reports of loss of bird numbers due to this cold weather.

Woo,Mr Kandy was taking photos of the sunset last night and the coours were amazing.I had left my camera at home as we only nipped out to buy some more bird seed:dh:We have already noticed how the nights are lengthening each night and when I was talking to my sister on the phone the other night she said they have snowdrops and daffodils in full bloom down in Devon:D Hope you are feeling better as well and not getting too cold when out walking with the dogs:thmb:

Well,yesterday we ended up having two piars of Reed Buntings in the garden so think that that the other pair my be Juveniles from the one thta lived in our garden last year in the summer and we also had two male Bullfinches which was nice and then just before we went out we had three Redwings sitting in our cherry tree so we were well pleased with that.We have had a Fieldfare in the garden but never Redwings:D

Anyway,we haven't had the snow that was forecast so it looks like the meal is still going ahead this lunchtime so I do hope you all have a lovely day

Sorry I have been having PC troubles & I had thought I lost all my passwords so it has come as a bit of a shock to find out that my passwords was sitting on my upstairs laptop all the time!

Anyway I just wanted to bring you all belated greetings for Christmas & the New Year I do hope you all had good'uns.

I hope you all are keeping warm too this snow is lasting far too long.

Helen nice to see you back and a belated Happy Year to you and hope you are keeping well.I thought you had just been too busy with your personal life to get on the computer.I have had problems with my laptop and have had to revert to using the desktop PC at times:p Pop in as and when yopu can find the time,you are always welcome.

Peri,we were just getting ready to go out yesterday when I happened to walk into the kitchen and spotted a couple of Fieldfares I think they were, sitting in the apple tree outside our kitchen window and quickly grabbed my camera.I was trying to take the photos through glass and pointing upwards so the first ones wasn't too good but then I managed to get a half decent one of one of them.:D We also had a Pied Wagtail in our Japanese Maple and I got one quick blurred photo of it before our cat Poppy frightened it away:( We have never had such an assortment of birds in the garden as we have had this last weekend.

Anyway,we went off to my Father In Laws Birthday meal yesterday and it was very nice but rather filling:D There were three families altogether celebrating birthdays and one group sounded like they were all having a great time as we were having to talk quiet loud over the tops of the laughter:p

We had more snow last night so it is laying again on the roads and paths so it will be a bit slippery when Mr Kandy goes off to work this morning.Hope you all have a great day and please keep warm

well our snow has gone just rain and very dull here.

peri i dont know what the birds do when there ponds are all frozen over luckily ours they had a small water area i guess they fly off to find ponds with open waters i did feel sorry for them.
off out today away to specsavers for a check and order my 3 month supply then doing a bit shopping im going in my car today.

Rosa,the birds of all discriptions are suffering at the moment and people are saying that they are feeding birds in their gardens that usually stay away and feed naturally in the wild.Hope you have a good day at Specsavers and shopping
