Good morning everybody - a gray sky out there this morning, but no sign of snow yet! I have just heard it's sleeting in Reading - but is very wettish and not really landing. Hoping that it's just a passing thing and will not cause any disruptions.

Just another day of work for me, and also headed out tonight to see a movie with friends Jazmine - not sure what we are going to see yet, we will have to go and decide over a drink first :) Just a bunch of school playground mums that get together every once in a while for a mum's night out.
Have a great day everybody.......wonder if Shiney has adjusted to the temperatures yet?

Just got back, it's freezing! Enjoy yourself Natalie, we will compare notes. :hehe:

Penny, Norwich is a city full of history. We have a castle, a prison, a famous market, a fantastic cathedral in a close that is really attractive. Elm Hill is a really quaint little area well worth a vist close is and so much more- I will take a few pics on our next trip to town.
You are most welcome to visit if you ever come to England which I hope you can arrange. I think you would love the "quaintness" of it :)

    Hi Peri,

Hope you have had a good day:)

I am annoyed at the Oscar photo as it didn't look out of focus in PB but when I looked back at it it is blurred and if I try to delete and put another in knowing me I shall mess it up.:o

The sun was right in my face when i was trying to get the photos so I was struggling with them to get the boats in the middle of the shot so jsut had to point and shoot so to speak.Mr Kandy had his reactor glasses on so he was ok.I do like the affect though of the sillouettes of the men in the dingies with the light behind them.I took some colour ones and B&W,just wish I had a better camera and lens and was a bit better at taking photos.:D

I have to get off the computer now as Mr Kandy is hovering as he wants to put the Oscar photos onto a disc for me so I can give it to my friend tomorrow:)

    Enjoy your evening:)

Kandy, thanks for putting the bluebell wood on - it is just lovely. I will have to hunt out my pics of Billericay woods-heh they are 30ish years old now.
Oscar is lovely and I guess he won't grow too big, not like our Roxy pup belonging to my son.

Had a lovely evening out - we went to see Sherlock Holmes and both enjoyed it. :)

Oscar is gorgeous Kandy! You're right about the bluebells pic too - very similar to Jazmine's avatar - really pretty :)

Had a lovely night out here too Jazmine - though we never did venture to a movie - couldn't decide what to go see, so we had a drink and a meal instead - nice night out though - all of us having a night off from kids :)

No snow here as predicted - we were supposed to get some by noon today - but not a flake!

    G'night everybody :)

    Good morning Rosa and everyone,

I had a sleepless night last night Rosa and I have got up with a starving feeling as I am trying to lose weight due to this Diabetes that I have now been diagnosed with:( I am livibng on salads and exercising like it is going out of fashion but after the inital 12lb loss I can't drop any more:mad: Have to go this morning for a HbA1c blood test this morning to see how the glucose levels have been working over these last three months and then have to go and see the Diabetic nurse next month to be weighed and to have my feet checked,so I do hope my nice red toe nail varnish hasn't worn off by then:D

Thanks for all the lovely comments for the photos,I too love the dingy one and if i can find some time will have to put up a few more of those plus Oscar:D Glad you love Oscar Rosa,he is so tiny i always worry that I will tread on him when I visit him and his cage his enormous that he sleeps in:D

Hope everyone has a lovely day in all that you do:)

Jazmine - my son and his girlfriend were in Norwich yesterday - really liked it, enjoyed the scenery around the university etc. His girlfriend is looking at doing her Masters there next year - but said she really liked the city itself.

Good morning everybody - well, busy day today - have to get up to headoffice for 2:30 meetings......so have to start getting ready - not much work this morning, instead I'll be sitting on the M25 for goodness knows how long! I hate the M25 with a passion!

Kandy.....ewwwww to the plumbers butt/bicycle rack.......although a little less embarassing than the video of UK Bobsledder Gillian Cooke splitting her spandex suit on international tv (can search Youtube for video - not really appropriate for forum if your kids happen to be around!

Poor girl to have had this on international tv!

    Good evening everyone,

Rosa what are you like,I never mentioned the Hospital for the blood test, you need to go back to Specsavers as I just had to pop to our surgery in the village and the nurse does it:D

Peri,it seems to be one thing after another at the moment.:p I have been prediabetic for two years after my yearly fasting glucose test showed that I was leaning towards it .It is in the family and the Dr told me there was a good chance I would develope it within the next ten years,so when I started having symptoms this last Christmas while we were away it made me think something was amiss,so when i got home I bought some test strips from Tesco's pharmacy and when I did the test the dip stick went dark brown{eek} so I rang the Dr's and got an appointment that afternoon.I had to go back for another fasting test which when the results came back last week showed my Glucose levels at 9.2:oops: anything under seven is best,so this morning I had to have this other blood test and when I go to see the Diabetic nurse she will tell me the results and we go from there...

When I went this morning to the surgery I had a quick wee before I went in to see the nurse and the first thing she asked for was my wee sample but I hadn't been told to take one so if I had known thst I wouldn't have visited the loo before hand:( I have also been told by the nurse that I have to go to hospital when they send me a letter for a Retinopathy{sp} eye test which is something that has to be checked but I am not quiet sure what that is for and no one seems to be telling me much at all apart from look at Diabetes UK website and I should get loads of info off of there and try to eat sensibly without too much sugar in my diet:( My Cholesterol is 4.6 so I must be doing something right:)

I won't be putting any more photos of Jack on here as my friend hasn't given me pemission to put up that one and you don't know what type of people lurke on thses sites...Glad you like the photos though:)
