What's your weather like? (2)

Drizzle on and off all morning, just seen a glimps of blue sky out to the west.

Roders, I agree with Granny, you need help mate, we will get more rain than we want soon enough.:D

Thia summer totally confuses me... I mean it was July, it had to be the hottest period of the year, but despite all these, it rains so much... too much for July, I think. Plants from the garden don't even need watering in that days )

 

We have rain falling this morning as I type and luckily we have been having the odd downpour at least once a week/fortnight so my waterbutt never empties,but I am glad of it as it saves me watering my garden even though I did it last night as I don't believe the forecasts any more:D

 

I know what you mean about not believing the forecast. It was supposed to rain overnight, so I swept all the paths and patio, got any pots needing a good soak well out in the open and generally tidied away anything I didn't want to get wet. Did it rain? No! A few spots this morning so far, that's all.

Yes, I still water every day, regardless.

 

Speaking as one who slept through 'the hurricane' in 1987, it takes a lot to rouse me from my slumber, so the almighty clap of thunder about 6 a.m. today, must have had a decibel level on a par with a rocket launching. Ah ha! The long promised rain. By the time I'd walked to the window and opened the curtains, the 'rain' had stopped, the sun was shining and there's been blue sky ever since. I'm taking my godchildren to the coast today - a perfect opportunity to get a new bit of seaweed for the Met Office.

 

It is grey and drizzly here at the moment.

 

Do you think you could run to a pair of specs as well, Fidgetsmum? I know we have changeable island weather but I honestly think I could do better just by sticking my head out of the window.

 

This is more like British August weather,warm with some sun and regular rain,beautiful growing weather and the lawns are coming back to life.....:thumb:

 

Ok, now it's raining. Pouring actually - folks in East Sussex/Kent...it's on it's way over to you!:hehe:

 

Half an inch of rain this morning, now brilliant sunshine.
