Just for the heck of it, I'll say "Sunset".

      Cheers, Tony.

I've got a Sunset apple tree and they don't look anything like that, despite them supposedly having a small regional variation in appearance when grown on different soils.

But if I had to guess it would be the dreaded Golden Delicious - the best thing to do with them is press them and make cider.

And I can also confirm that they do make exceedingly good cider!

Your post here is fine, but there are suggestions on the other thread about how you might find out what the variety is.

Granny Smith - that's another variety I hate only slightly less than Golden Delicious, and should also be consigned to the scratter & press!

P.S. harry123 If you note when the tree was in blossom plus when the apples are ripe it will assist in identification.

When the pips are brown. I start checking with windfalls & damaged fruit plus use a refractometer to monitor fruit sugar levels.
