VERY!!!! windy here again today and grey clouds with odd rain showers.

Yesterday went out for the day and when i returned the plastic greenhouse managed to blow from the top corner of the garden down the path and finished outside the back door, the bungees i had around it had snapped and also noticed on its way down the garden it had snapped off one of my new growing Blackcurrent plants :gaagh: i have 4 in a large container.

South Derbyshire 5.30pm; currently breezy, has been VERY windy again today, not as bad as yesterday though.

Have had several pieces of raspberry canes snapped off, potatoes got flattened but we're harvesting them now so not worried about that. Fortunately everything else has survived undamaged. It has been bad enough round here to drop branches off trees; seen a few hefty ones down the road.

Has felt warmer today, although we've had a 15 min spell of extremely torrential rain this afternoon.

Storm force winds - recent gust at 63 mph. Temp 10C but feels a lot colder due to the wind. Lots of roads closed.
The mesh tunnels I put up two days ago have half collapsed and it's too windy to try to repair them:mad:

Yesterday was very windy and a giant tree fell down in the village. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Today was also windy but I guess it was no more than 40 mph. Warm sunshine all afternoon but getting nippy now.

    Yaay,

We had just enough rain to wet the gardener, but not the garden:DOH:

Wind gone now, well, just a light breeze & the suns come back out.

Reminds me of the Mrs, shouting up to me that the suns come out, put my shorts on, grabbed the sun hat and glasses & rushed downstairs to find my son holding hands with his friend Gary.

Also VERY VERY windy - saw some trees down today and my trellis is trying to hold up, but if this continues, it'll be down in the morning, with my poor honeysuckle and clematis with it. I don't like the wind.:o

It's calming down here now, the wind was up to force 8/9. My gardens still intact and also the new wind friendly fence. We've had a number of trees down round the island and roads have been shut.
